Week 16 daily fantasy football: Drew Brees and Jamaal Charles provide great value

The premise of daily fantasy football is simple: pick a quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, a kicker and a defense. It’s very similar to yearly fantasy football except there is often a salary cap, limiting which players you can have active on your roster. Here are the best values for Week 16:
Quarterback
Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
He completed 29 pf his 36 passes for 375 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions against Chicago and faces an even worse secondary this week against Atlanta, who is dead last for most net yards per pass attempt allowed (7.9).
Running Back
Jamaal Charles, Kansas City Chiefs
It sounds like Charles will be ready to go on Sunday against Pittsburgh. “Jamaal came in today and did his work,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “[Chiefs trainers] did some stuff with him after the game that he was able to take home with him to keep the swelling down in his knee and ankle, and he felt pretty good today.” When healthy, Charles has been one of the biggest scoring threats in the NFL.
Week 15 NFL TD Leaders:

Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers

Lacy has been limited in practice because of an eye issue but is fully expected to start Sunday against the Buccaneers. And while the Buccaneers have had success stopping the run (3.9 yards allowed per carry) they have still allowed the ninth most fantasy points to running backs this season (20.2).
Wide Receivers
Vincent Jackson,Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Mike Evans has been more productive, but Jackson gets the same number of looks in the red zone.
Malcom Floyd, San Diego Chargers
Some will shy away from him with the status of quarterback Philip Rivers up in the air, but with injured Keenan Allen likely out, he could be more of a focus in the offense. Add to that he is averaging almost as many yards per route run (1.6) as Allen did (1.6) and you have value here.
Marqise Lee, Jacksonville Jaguars
Lee has been targeted at least eight times in three straight games and is averaging 11.3 yards per catch this season. He faces the Titans’ secondary this week, which is rated as the ninth worst by the game charters at Pro Football Focus.

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs
Adam Vinatieri, Indianapolis Colts
Vinatieri has made the fifth most field goals among place kickers and is a perfect 28 for 28 this season, including hitting all three of his attempts from 50 yards and beyond.
Buffalo Bills
The Bills, who have the top rated defense according to Football Outsider’s Defense-adjusted Value Over Average, are up against the Oakland Raiders, who score on the lowest percentage of their drives (22.2 percent) while averaging the second lowest points per drive in the league (1.2)
