A decade ago Orien Greene was shooting hoops in the NBA. On Monday, the 34-year-old was arrested for allegedly breaking into two women’s homes and fondling one of them in her sleep.

“It’s really scary,” a resident of Pembroke Pines, Fla., told Miami’s 7 News on Tuesday. “How can we feel safe anymore?”

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Greene entered the homes of the women through unlocked doors before making his way to their bedrooms. In one case, Greene is said to have watched a 56-year-old woman sleep, before making his way to the house across the street, where he allegedly kissed the neck of a sleeping 40-year-old woman and “rubbed her butt.”

In that case, the woman awoke to Greene in her room and screamed, causing the former Celtics draft pick to flee to his girlfriend’s house, which is also in the same neighborhood.

After being identified, Greene was booked and charged with two counts of felony and burglary, as well as misdemeanor battery, according to 7 News.

Greene was released on a $30,000 bond and has to wear an ankle bracelet, while his charges are pending. He also has been instructed to stay away from the two women.

Greene entered the NBA in 2005 when Boston drafted him at age 23. He stayed with the Celtics for just one season before signing with the Indiana Pacers the following season and then the Sacramento Kings in 2007, when he played just seven games. After playing some in the D-League, he floated around to international teams until 2010 when a questionable drug test taken while he played for a team in Amsterdam led to a two-year ban.

“The drug test. … I would have done a lot of things different,” Greene told ESPN in 2010. “…Maybe I wouldn’t be at this point right now. That’s the thing: I wish that I would have been a little bit more professional when I was in the league.”
