Russell Brand sexual assault allegations live updates
Detectives are investigating “a number of allegations of sexual assault in London” against Russell Brand, more than a week after the bombshell report in which multiple women accused the comedian of rape, sexual attacks and/or abuse, according to the UK Sun.
Brand was accused of raping, sexually assaulting and abusing four women over the course of seven years — including a 16-year-old he allegedly called “the child” — in a joint investigation by The Sunday Times of London, the Times of London and Channel 4 Dispatches published Sept. 16.
The Brit, 48, denied the report prior to its release, maintaining that while he had been “promiscuous,” all of his sexual encounters were “consensual.”
Since the allegations broke, interviews have resurfaced showing Brand’s ex-wife Katy Perry and his “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” co-star Kristen Bell discussing his behavior years ago, and his YouTube channel has been demonetized.
